It’s a simple but essential step to monitor blood sugar in pregnancy: monitor your baby’s blood sugar levels.
But if you have a blood sugar monitor and aren’t able to keep it handy, here’s how to monitor them.1.
Monitor the blood sugar at homeFirst, make sure you have the right device.
You can either wear a monitor to your home or carry one at the office.
The most common way to wear one is to use an electronic device to measure your blood glucose at home, and then monitor it with an app.
But other devices, such as an insulin pump or a syringe, can be used for this purpose.2.
Measure blood sugar and monitor it on your smartphoneThe easiest way to monitor the blood glucose of your baby is to get a smartphone app to record your blood sugars.
This app, called Glucose Monitor, works by collecting data about your blood flow through the bloodstream and your blood pressure.
If your blood is clear and your glucose is at a healthy level, your phone can display the number of times your blood was in the range of your average blood sugar readings.3.
Check your blood insulin levelWith the help of an app, you can track your blood levels of insulin in real time.
Insulin is a hormone produced by the pancreas and produced in response to glucose.
The amount of insulin released is directly related to the amount of glucose being absorbed.
You will often see the level of insulin at the top of the screen when your blood blood sugar is low.
If you see an “0” on the display, your blood isn’t producing enough insulin.
You should get an alert if your insulin levels are too low, because the pancrea is releasing too much insulin.
If insulin levels aren’t high, it may mean that you’re at risk of developing type 1 diabetes.
If you’re a mom who has a baby on your mind, it’s important to make sure that you get enough insulin from your doctor.
The best way to do this is to check on your insulin level on the phone.
Make sure that your blood test is within the recommended range and that your glucose monitor is working.4.
Get insulin if your baby gets sickIf you’ve been given insulin by your doctor, you should see the results of your insulin injection in your blood, as soon as possible.
If the insulin level is normal, you’ll need to take a medication called metformin to prevent diabetes from worsening.
This medication is available over the counter or in pharmacies.5.
Get your blood level and monitor your diabetes if it’s lowIf your baby has not yet started to gain weight, he or she may be starting to have symptoms of diabetes, such for example: shortness of breath, feeling tired, feeling sick, or having difficulty eating.
In this situation, your baby may need a blood test.
You’ll want to get an insulin injection to check the blood sugars in the blood before you can start to monitor his or her blood sugar.
Your baby may be able to get the blood test before you see the result of your blood sample.
If this is the case, your doctor may ask you to do so, but if you refuse, it will not affect your baby.
The blood test will only be sent to your lab for analysis.6.
Check for signs of diabetesIf your blood tests come back normal, it means that your baby hasn’t started to get any insulin.
This is good news, because it means your baby won’t have to take insulin for a few months.
But there are other reasons to worry.
The first thing you should do if you notice signs of your diabetes is get tested again.
A blood test for diabetes is usually done at a hospital.
If there is a blood glucose level that isn’t above 7.0 milligrams per deciliter (mg/dL), it means the baby has diabetes and you need to see a doctor.
If it’s less than 7.5 mg/dL, it doesn’t mean that your diabetes has started.7.
Talk to your doctorIf your doctor thinks you have diabetes, you may need to talk to your diabetes specialist to discuss how to manage your diabetes and other complications.
If diabetes isn’t a problem, you will likely have to stay on insulin for at least a few more months, but it will help your baby with some of the symptoms and complications of diabetes.
